About the Activity 'Book' Available as a downloadable pdf file, or some individual groups of Activities can be ordered and downloaded separately. There are over 25 Black and White photocopiable Activities (some in groups), which may be photocopied for classroom use. These will be available shortly as downloadable pdf files. They can be purchased either as the complete 'book' for the individual language , or as individual Activities. Activities Include: 1. Word Search Activities and Squares 2. Tree Staircase to colour, discuss the time of year, name animals, birds etc, read the description, and Spot the Difference (The Tree Staircase is also available as a colour POSTER) 3. Castle Dining Room to colour, name the objects and food; discuss what is happening and Spot the Difference 4. Food: Black and white picture to colour, and discuss who is eating what and where the food comes from. 5. Butterfly Life Cycle: to colour, read the description, and count up to 12. 6. Dress the twins. Cut out twins (plus wolf!) and clothes to colour and name. 7. Farm. Farm scene with animals to cut out, name and stick to the scene. 8. Black and white picture - to find animals hidden in a tree. 9. Simple maze with instructions to turn left, turn right etc 10. More sophisticated maze with instructions to turn north, south etc 11. Snakes and Ladders with instructions in the language of your choice, and your own dice to make. 12. Finger Puppets to make 13. Class dragon mobile cut, colour and make 14. Farm and Butterfly Life Cycle Farm to colour. Animals to name, cut and stick on the farm picture. Butterfly life cycle to colour, count the creatures clockwise round the picture in stages up to 12; plus descriptive text. 2. Tree Staircase Picture to colour and text (in choice of language) to discuss; plus Spot the Difference. The staircase tree is also available as an A3 colour poster. 3. Castle Dining Room Picture to colour and text (in choice of language) to discuss; plus Spot the Difference. 4. Simple Maze & Complex Maze Maze to follow Alex's journey to the centre of the maze. Description of how to get there using instructions of left, right (simple maze) and north, south, east west (complex maze). 5. Snakes and Ladders with instructions, plus simple dice to make. Based on characters and events in the story, a board game to play. Instructions available in each language. Make a dice with the numbers (spelt out!) in the chosen language. The dice can be filled with plasticine or similar to add weight, These E-Book will be available to order soon. They will be downloadable pdf files, viewable using Acrobat Reader.
