Secrets on submitting a book for publication It is common sense really, not any great secret. The trick is do your homework, including looking from the other end of the telescope; put yourself in the position of the publisher/bookseller/reader ~ ideally before you even put ideas down on paper or computer.
What about ourselves? We are a very small company, we have a miniscule budget, we are too small to employ staff, and we use freelance illustrators, translators and voices. Our books have particular language content to improve language learning, and the audio CDs are aimed specifically at the understanding of foreign language speech. How many of us in a foreign land, armed with our few words or phrase book, can ask the question, but not understand the reply? (Our audio CDs should give you a good start!).
Although we do not currently publish general children's fiction, some books and websites are listed below which give insight and information on many aspects of the processes of manuscript submission, publishing and the selling of books.
Good luck!
